This is one of the most common questions I get from buyers considering a move. The short answer is: Arvada is considered safe by most residents who live here.
That said, no city is perfect. Arvada does experience property crime, particularly car break-ins and theft, which is common across the entire Denver metro area. Violent crime exists, but it is far less common and tends to be isolated rather than widespread.
From a day-to-day standpoint, to me, Arvada feels calm and residential. I walk my dogs early in the morning. I meet clients in neighborhoods throughout the city. I attend local events and spend time in parks.
