Beer lovers are in luck as several craft breweries call Golden home too. Commuting into downtown Denver is a straight shot east via I-70 and will take about 25 minutes.
 
Residents embrace outdoor adventure and keep a very active lifestyle exploring countless trails for hiking or cycling. In the winter months, skiers and snowboarders have access to several ski resorts close by. It has a suburban feel nestled between nature and the city, with all the amenities you might need within reach. Top activities in the mountains above Golden range from hiking, rock climbing, cycling, skiing, and spending time in nature. For an easy hike through downtown, Clear Creek Trail runs along Clear Creek and is a great place to take a stroll. If you are in search of a longer hike, North Table Mountain Park West Trailhead and Chimney Gulch Trailhead offer beautiful scenery and rewarding views. Cyclists will love hopping onto the paved Clear Creek Trail running parallel to the creek that will take you all the way to Denver if you are ambitious.
 
During the warm months, cool off by going tubing or kayaking down Clear Creek for some summer fun. Golfers will delight in playing rounds at The Club at Rolling Hills, Fossil Trace Golf Club, and Applewood Golf Course for pristine courses set with a mountain backdrop.
