A semi-finalist for the 2022 James Beard “Best New Restaurant” award, Casian Seafood is a favorite local restaurant serving well-crafted meals in a modern environment.

The Read Queen Bookstore is the place to go for new and used books, uncommon gifts, and delicious coffee and treats. Visit Waneka Lake Park to see local wildlife, engage in recreational activities, take a walk and glimpse native birds, or rent a paddle boat and get out on the water. 
Lafayette also hosts a ton of fun community events each year, many of which take place at the Festival Plaza. Some popular events include the Lafayette Brew Fest in September and the Police Bike Rodeo in June.
